Indonesian government may ask Worldcoin to delete 500,000 citizen retina data

On May 10, thank you. The Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) may ask the World platform to delete 500,000 retinal data records of Indonesian citizens. Previously, Komdigi was investigating whether there were security risks in storing retinal data due to concerns about potential data leakage risks. Once relevant risks are discovered, these data will be permanently deleted. The World platform was previously censored for offering users a reward of 800,000 Indonesian rupiah (approximately US$48.34) for retina scanning. After Komdigi suspended its operating license, the platform has stopped all scanning activities in Indonesia. The World Platform clarified that its cryptocurrency Worldcoin is not used as compensation, and that the token is only used as an optional incentive.
