A16z's AI studio Promise has entered into a partnership with Google

On May 21, generative AI studio Promise announced a partnership with Google to integrate Google's AI technology into its production pipeline and Muse workflow software. The collaboration will also include the participation of researchers from Google's DeepMind. The startup, backed by Andreessen Horowitz(a16z), has received additional investments from Google AI Futures Fund, Crossbeam Venture Partners and the North Road Company led by former News Corporation President Peter Chernin. Promise, founded by George Strompolos, Jamie Byrne and Dave Clark, aims to use generative AI tools to help Hollywood studios reduce production costs and accelerate content creation, and is currently working with industry stakeholders to develop a multi-year content plan.
