Opinion: BTC's dominance is declining, but it has not yet fully entered the shanzhai season
Internet reports that Bitcoin's dominance in the cryptocurrency market (BTC Dominance) has recently dropped from 65% to 62%, triggering market discussions about the upcoming "copycat season". However, analysts pointed out that despite the strong performance of some altcoins, the overall market has not yet entered a full-blown bull market. Alphractal CEO Joao Wedson predicts that the full altcoin season may not start until June, but the current market is still in its early stages. In addition, while bitcoin prices have stabilized at around $103,000, altcoins such as Ethereum, XRP and Solana have recently risen more than bitcoin, indicating that investor interest is shifting towards these assets. In addition, analysts also warned that historical data shows that the copycat season usually does not fully kick off when Bitcoin's dominance falls below 54%, which has not yet been reached.
