Deutsche Bank: U.S. assets still face resistance from overseas buyers

Deutsche Bank reported online that despite the market recovery in the past week, foreign investors still refused to buy U.S. assets. In order to observe "real-time" the movements of foreign investors in recent weeks, George Saravelos, head of foreign exchange strategy at Deutsche Bank, studied the flows of various funds that attract overseas funds into U.S. stocks and bonds. Saravelos wrote that data showed that overseas purchases of U.S. assets had a "sudden stop" in the past two months, and showed no sign of reversing even last week, when the dark clouds hanging over the market seemed to begin to dissipate.
