According to online reports, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessant said,"Cryptocurrencies will not pose a threat to the U.S. dollar. In fact, stablecoins can consolidate the hegemony of the US dollar. Digital assets are one of the most important phenomena in the world today, but they have long been ignored by governments. This administration is committed to making the United States a center for digital asset innovation, and the GENIUS Act brings us one step closer to that goal."
