French parliament rejects bitcoin mining proposals
Internet reports that the French National Assembly refused to discuss a proposal to use Bitcoin mining as a potential destination for France's energy surplus. The proposal was rejected on procedural grounds and failed to enter the substantive discussion stage. The proposal aims to assess "the conditions for developing bitcoin mining activities in France as a tool to leverage electricity production surpluses, stabilize the power grid and optimize nuclear power plant operations."
