US House Republicans will release draft digital assets bill "
Online reported that sources said that top Republican leaders of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and Agriculture Committee will release a draft discussion before the May 6 hearing to develop an important regulatory framework for digital assets. The draft is expected to be similar to the 21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act (FIT 21) passed by the House last year, which aims to clarify when digital assets will be regulated by the SEC, the CFTC, or both. A senior director of the Blockchain Association said the draft was "90% similar to FIT 21," but that the Trump family's involvement in the crypto space "has complicated legislative work."
