Internet reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Crypto Task Force has held talks with CoinShares International Limited and representatives of its legal counsel Chapman & Cutler LLP to discuss the regulatory challenges faced in launching crypto asset exchange-traded products (ETP) in the United States. It is reported that the topics discussed at the meeting between the two parties included: how to integrate the pledge mechanism in the ETP structure, appropriate standards for reviewing new digital assets ETP rule change applications, cryptographic asset custody issues, comparison of physical and cash redemption mechanisms, and registered investment companies.
