Hong Kong Secretary for the Treasury: Plans to consider replacing the name of "virtual assets" with "electronic money, electronic assets"

According to online reports, Hong Kong Legislative Council Member Yau Dagan called for the name of "virtual assets" to be renamed "digital assets." In response, Hong Kong Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Hui Ching-woo agreed that the outside world or believed that there was a misunderstanding in the expression of virtual assets, and responded that the Hong Kong government would use "electronic money" and "electronic assets" for publicity. Although the current expression in the law has not been revised, the expression will be changed in the future.
