Johnson Chui, Head of Global Issuer Services at HKEX (00388.HK) , published an opinion article saying that Hong Kong's new energy issuer ecosystem is thriving as China drives the global green transition.
As of March this year, the new energy sector's market cap at HKEX has more than quadrupled from USD125 billion in 2015 to USD568 billion, accounting for 12.5% of the total Hong Kong market, Chui emphasized.
Chui also revealed that as of May 6, 2025, 11 new energy companies have made A1 listing applications and are expected to eventually list at HKEX.
