Citadel Securities, a major Wall Street market maker, urges the U.S. SEC to be cautious in advancing securities tokenization
Internet reports that SEC Chairman Paul Atkins recently said that traditional securities regulations may be simplified to help companies issue tokenized securities. Citadel Securities, a major Wall Street market maker, said in a comment letter to the SEC's cryptocurrency working group on Monday that such a move could cause confusion among investors and create an unfair playing field between exchanges and listed companies. Citadel Securities wants the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to move more slowly in allowing the development of "tokenized" securities.
