Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) saw weekly deliveries surpass 10,000 units, with its sub-brand Onvo's flagship SUV L90 achieving record-high deliveries, according to a new report.
The electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered over 10,000 units last week, including more than 4,000 under the Nio main brand, over 5,000 for Onvo, and more than 1,500 for Firefly, local media outlet Jiemian reported today, citing automotive blogger Sun Shaojun.
The L90 surpassed 3,500 weekly deliveries last week -- a record high -- with production capacity increasing by 50 percent compared to the previous month, the blogger noted.
The blogger also said that Nio's flagship SUV, the ES8, has officially entered volume production.
"Nio achieved weekly sales exceeding 10,000 units with two flagship SUVs, while Firefly also performed well," the blogger wrote.
Onvo L90 is highly likely to surpass cumulative deliveries of 30,000 units this week, Jiemian's report noted.
That delivery figures should be based on insurance registrations, though neither the report nor the blogger specified. Previously, numerous bloggers shared these numbers every Tuesday, but they stopped sharing them over the past two weeks, citing stricter regulations.
Onvo officially launched the L90 on July 31 and began deliveries of the SUV the following day, August 1.
On September 29, Onvo delivered its 20,000th L90. By the end of September, cumulative L90 deliveries reached 21,572 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Nio officially launched the third-generation ES8 at Nio Day 2025 on September 20, with deliveries commencing the following day on September 21.
The ES8 delivered 2,803 units in September -- its highest monthly figure since January 2019 -- making it Nio's third-highest delivering model.
Firefly launched the Firefly EV on April 19, currently its sole model, with deliveries in China starting April 29.
Firefly introduced the Nomadic Maillard special edition of the Firefly EV on August 25, limited to 333 units. On October 11, the brand launched the Night Creature Edition, capped at 666 units.
Following these two new initiatives from Firefly, the Nio main brand also rolled out a limited edition of the ET5 Touring wagon on October 17, limited to 555 units.
Additionally, Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) delivered 13,000 vehicles last week, with over 7,700 C-series and over 4,500 B-series units, according to Sun.
