Nvidia seeks to expand beyond large technology companies

Online reports that NVDA.O is seeking to reduce its reliance on large technology companies and seek to strike new partnerships to sell its artificial intelligence chips to nation states, conglomerates and challengers from groups such as Microsoft, Amazon and Google. This week Nvidia announced a multibillion-dollar U.S. chip deal with Saudi Arabia's Humain, while the United Arab Emirates announced plans to coordinate with the U.S. government to build one of the world's largest data centers. These "sovereign AI" deals are an important part of Nvidia's strategy to attract customers outside Silicon Valley. Nvidia executives, industry insiders and analysts say the $3.2 trillion chipmaker plans to expand beyond the super-scale enterprise. Nvidia said large cloud computing groups account for more than half of its data center revenue and are working hard to support potential competitors to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. This includes enabling "neoclouds" such as CoreWeave, Nebius, Crusoe and Lambda to become part of its growing network of "Nvidia Cloud Partners." (Jin Shi)
