The United States and its allies set the end of August as the deadline for reaching a nuclear deal with Iran
According to online reports, according to the AXIOS website, three people familiar with the matter revealed that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio and the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and Britain talked yesterday and decided to set the end of August as the actual deadline for reaching a nuclear deal with Iran. If an agreement cannot be reached by the deadline, the three European powers plan to launch a "quick recovery" mechanism that will automatically re-impose all sanctions lifted by the United Nations Security Council under the 2015 Iran deal. It will take 30 days to activate the "quick recovery" mechanism, and Europe hopes to complete the process before Russia assumes the rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council in October.
