Nasdaq-listed mining company Bitfarms faces a class action lawsuit for failing to promptly disclose flaws in internal controls

Internet reports that Nasdaq-listed mining company Bitfarms and some of its executives have been subject to a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York by law firm Pomerantz. It is reported that the company disclosed in its March 2024 financial report that there are "significant flaws" in internal controls. The flaw is related to the company's classification of 2021 warrants, and said that "its remediation plan is expected to be completed in 2024, which means that Bitfarms has a strong interest in the business, Operations and prospects made material false and misleading statements, causing the stock price to fall at the end of last year, in an alleged violation of U.S. securities laws.
