Discussions have been launched on the upgrade proposal for TRON main network version 4.8.0 to support the upgrade of Ethereum Cancun
The Internet reported that according to the latest news from the TRON community, the upgrade proposal for version 4.8.0 of the main network is under discussion. This version is planned to support Ethereum Cancun upgrades and optimize the consensus layer verification mechanism. According to the resolution of the Core Developers Meeting, the proposal is expected to officially enter the voting process on June 23, 2025, Singapore time. After the proposal takes effect, the TRON main network will open the new virtual machine instructions in version 4.8.0 to achieve compatibility with the Ethereum Cancun upgrade, and open a new consensus layer verification mechanism to further improve the consistency and effectiveness of the transaction execution process.
