Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) has commenced pre-sales for its updated Zeekr 7X family SUV (sport utility vehicle), following the launch of the updated Zeekr 001 shooting brake earlier this month.
Display models of the updated Zeekr 7X are now available at Zeekr showrooms across China, with the SUV's official launch set for October 28, the electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.
The updated Zeekr 7X is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, an upgrade from its predecessor's 800-volt platform, similar to the updated Zeekr 001.
Zeekr has not disclosed the pre-sales pricing for the updated Zeekr 7X. Customers who pay a RMB 2,000 ($281) deposit to reserve the model now will receive a RMB 7,000 discount on the final payment.
The Zeekr 7X was initially launched in China on September 20, 2024, with a starting price of RMB 229,900, positioning as a competitor to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y.
The updated Zeekr 7X continues to offer three variants: a rear-wheel-drive Max version with a 75-kWh battery pack, a rear-wheel-drive Max version with a 103-kWh battery, and an all-wheel-drive Ultra version with a 103-kWh battery.
The 75-kWh version utilizes Zeekr's 800-volt Golden Battery, supporting a 5.5C charging rate that enables charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in 10.5 minutes.
The battery pack delivers a CLTC range of 620 kilometers with energy consumption as low as 13.9 kWh per 100 kilometers.
Its electric motor produces 370 kW (496 horsepower), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Both 103-kWh variants utilize CATL's (HKG: 3750) 900-volt Qilin Battery, supporting 6C fast charging to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent in 10 minutes.
Its rear motor delivers 370 kW, while the front motor produces 215 kW, resulting in a combined output of 585 kW for the dual-motor version.
The 103-kWh rear-motor variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with an 802-km CLTC range.
The all-wheel-drive variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.98 seconds, with a CLTC range of 715 kilometers.
The updated Zeekr 7X comes standard with the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system, featuring 31 perception sensors including LiDAR.
Its driver assistance chip is the Nvidia Drive Thor-U, delivering a total computing power of 700 TOPS.
The Zeekr 7X is the brand's second model targeting the mainstream EV market following the Zeekr 007 sedan, while its other models cater to niche segments in China.
The SUV has been launched in international markets including Europe and Australia.
The Zeekr 7X delivered 7,550 units in September, bringing its January-September total to 52,255 units. This represents 36.39 percent of the Zeekr brand's cumulative deliveries of 143,600 units during the same period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
