US media: Trump plans to further tighten control over hiring and firing federal employees
Online reports, according to Jin Shi Data, citing the Wall Street Journal, the US President Trump administration is taking action to further tighten its control over the hiring and firing of federal employees. As Tesla CEO Elon Musk fades out of Washington politics, the U.S. government has positioned key institutions as an important part of its continued streamlining of the government system. This work is concentrated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the government's human resources department. According to agency announcements obtained by the Wall Street Journal, the office, as the core of the Musk government's reform plan, has begun to directly approve applications for new positions in federal agencies. The move marks a major policy shift after agencies usually made their own decisions on job allocation.
