Google launches AI search model for U.S. users
According to online reports, Google (GOOG.O) announced on May 20 local time that starting from that day, all US users will be able to activate "AI Mode" in Google Search and Chrome. AI Mode is a tab in search where users can interact directly with the AI model, similar to ChatGPT. Google positions the product as a space where users can ask more complex questions and ask them in depth. Over time, Google will introduce functions from the AI model to AI Overviews and use AI to answer some questions on the search homepage.
