United Arab Emirates SCA launches its first "Finfluencer" license to regulate digital financial content
On June 3, according to an official announcement, the United Arab Emirates Securities and Commodities Administration (SCA) officially launched the region's first "Finfluencer" license, aiming to regulate financial content creation on digital platforms. It is understood that the license applies to individuals who provide investment advice related to regulated products or entities through digital or traditional media. Applicants need to register and comply with relevant regulations. To encourage innovation, SCA announced that it will waive registration, renewal and legal advice fees for the service for the next three years. SCA CEO H.E. Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi said that the license is not only a regulatory measure, but also a strategic response to the rapid development of digital finance, aiming to enhance market integrity, promote transparency, and create a trustworthy financial environment.
