Trump: Reaching an agreement with Indonesia will give US full access to Indonesian markets

U.S. President Trump said that this morning, after a phone call with the Indonesian president, I finalized an important agreement with the country. As part of the deal, Indonesia committed to buying $15 billion worth of U.S. energy products,$4.5 billion of agricultural products, and 50 Boeing passenger aircraft, many of them 777 models. For the first time in history, our ranchers, farmers and fishermen will have full access to the Indonesian market. In addition, Indonesia will pay a 19% tariff on all goods exported to the United States, while U.S. exports to Indonesia will be exempt from all tariff and non-tariff barriers. If the relevant goods are transshipped from a high-tariff country, the corresponding tariff from the country of origin will be added to the tariff paid by Indonesia.
