Iranian media: Israel tried to assassinate Iranian President Pezehizyan during the conflict
Internet reports that according to Iranian media FarsNews, on June 15, Israel tried to assassinate the Iranian President, Speaker of Parliament and Minister of Justice in an attack during the conflict. According to media affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Iranian President Pezehizyan was slightly injured and shot in the leg in the attack while he was participating in a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council in Tehran. Reports said the attackers used six missiles or bombs to block the exits of the building where the meeting was held, but officials managed to escape through emergency hatches. It is reported that Pezehziyan was injured while fleeing the building, and the report added that an investigation is under way to find out whether a mole provided Israel with information about the meeting. The report also said the pattern of the so-called assassination was similar to the attack on Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.
