British financial technology company Revolut banking license approval blocked "

Internet reports that global financial technology company Revolut has been waiting for more than three years to apply for a full banking license in the UK and is currently caught in an open dispute between British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves and Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey. The controversy stems from Reeves 'attempt to speed up the approval process by arranging for Revolut to meet with the Bank of England regulators, but Bailey blocked it on the grounds of interfering in the central bank's independent supervision. This incident has raised concerns about the development prospects of the UK's fintech industry, especially as Revolut is considering listing in the US, which may affect the UK's status as a global fintech center.
