Trump and his donors will spend $200 million to renovate the White House at their own expense."

Internet reports that according to Politico, the White House will carry out a massive $200 million renovation project on its east wing, which is Trump's latest construction project for the executive residence. White House Press Secretary Levitt announced on Thursday that construction will begin in September on an approximately 90,000-square-foot White House State Banquet Hall that can accommodate 650 people. According to the White House website, Trump and other "patriotic donors" will pay for the $200 million renovation project. Levitt said that the east wing will also undergo "modernization" and that all office areas, including the first lady's office, will be temporarily relocated during construction. This is the latest and most expensive in a series of recent White House renovations under Trump. Levitt said the project is expected to be completed before the end of Trump's term.
