U.S. trade deficit hit a record high in March "

Online reported that the U.S. Department of Commerce said on Tuesday that the U.S. international trade deficit, including goods and services, widened 14% in March to a seasonally adjusted record of $140.5 billion, as companies rushed to import foreign products ahead of the White House's tariffs. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had expected the U.S. trade deficit to widen to $136 billion from $127 billion in February.
