Trump tax cut bill advances in House
Internet reports that a U.S. House panel approved Trump's tax cut bill in preparation for a possible vote this week. Five conservative hardliners in the Republican Party joined all Democratic lawmakers in voting against it because hardline conservatives called for further cuts to Medicaid in exchange for their support in a key procedural vote. Republican leadership said the bill is not yet mature and tax and Medicaid provisions still need to be significantly revised to win conservative support. (Jin Shi)
