Internet reports, Decrypt reported that crypto advocacy groups such as the Blockchain Association, CoinCenter, DeFi Education Fund and Bitcoin Policy Institute have called for the case against Bitcoin mixing-currency service Samourai to be dismissed. The groups believe that SamouraiWallet is only helping people execute financial transactions online and does not violate U.S. law. Still, federal judges this week refused to accept amicus curiae briefings from the groups. Previously, the U.S. government shut down SamouraiWallet and arrested its developer, accusing the app of being an "unlicensed money transfer business" and being used by criminals.
