20 U.S. states sue Trump administration for restoration of disaster prevention and reduction plans

According to online reports, according to Xinhua Agency, 20 Democrat-led states in the United States filed a lawsuit in the federal court in Boston on the 16th, demanding that the Trump administration resume a multi-billion dollar disaster prevention and reduction plan. The indictment said the Trump administration illegally terminated the "Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities" project in April, which had previously been approved by Congress. The project began in 2018, with project funds used across the United States to build shelters, flood walls, and renovate roads and bridges. When the project was terminated, U.S. authorities called it a "waste of resources and politicized." In early July, after floods in Texas left a large number of people dead and missing, the Democratic Party accused the government of failing to respond to the floods and urged President Trump to resume project funding.
