Meta supervisory committee orders the removal of Ronaldo AI's fake video ads "

Internet reports, Decrypt reported that the Meta supervisory committee on Thursday ordered the removal of an AI fake video ad showing Brazilian football legend Ronaldo, which misled users to participate in an online game called Plinko and make false revenue promises. The committee criticized Meta for failing to strictly enforce its anti-fraud policy, pointing out that although the video was reported and received more than 600,000 views, it was not dealt with in a timely manner. The incident highlighted the platform's poor control over celebrity AI counterfeiting content. Previously, Jamie Lee Curtis had publicly questioned Zuckerberg over similar issues. Recently, U.S. President Trump signed the "Take It Down Act", requiring platforms to delete AI-generated images without consent within 48 hours to deal with the growing problem of deep counterfeiting and abuse.
