Citi reports: The market value of stablecoins may reach US$3.7 trillion in 2030
According to online reports, Citigroup predicts in its future financial research report that stablecoins will gradually replace some domestic and overseas cash reserves in the United States in the next five years and become part of banks 'short-term liquidity tools. The report said that with regulatory support, the market value of stablecoins will reach US$1.6 trillion in 2030, or US$3.7 trillion in optimistic scenarios. Fireblocks data shows that the use of stablecoins is shifting from transaction settlement to payment. Currently, payment companies account for 16% of transaction volume and is expected to increase to 50% within a year. At present, the total market value of stablecoins is about US$240 billion, mainly USDT and USDC.
