Meta Pool was attacked, hackers stole $132,000
According to Internet reports, Cointelegraph reported that the Meta Pool encryption protocol was attacked by hackers. The attackers used the "quick unblock" function and the ERC4626 mint() function vulnerability to successfully mint 9,705 mpETH tokens, worth nearly 27 million US dollars. However, due to low liquidity in the affected pool, the hackers ultimately stole only about 52.5 Ethereum (about $132,000) from the liquidity pool. The Meta Pool early detection system promptly discovered and suspended the affected smart contracts, preventing further losses.
