The U.S. Department of Justice and Europol seize the world's largest Monero dark network drug market, Archetyp Market
Internet reports that an international law enforcement operation has successfully destroyed the "Archetyp Market", one of the world's largest dark web crime markets. The platform is estimated to generate more than 250 million euros (approximately $267 million) in sales and relies entirely on the privacy cryptocurrency Monero (XMR) for transactions. The operation was coordinated by multinational law enforcement agencies such as the Prosecutor's Office in Frankfurt, the German Federal Criminal Police, the Spanish National Police and the Dutch National Police. Additional searches were also carried out in Germany and Sweden against personnel related to the platform, arresting seven Swedish suspects. The main suspect will face charges of running a large-scale drug trafficking network under German law.
