Bank of Sweden: Securities and Exchange Commission terminated investigation, no enforcement action "

Internet reports that Swedish Bank said that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission had terminated its investigation into the bank and had not taken any enforcement action. "With this announcement from the Securities and Exchange Commission, we have brought an investigation into historical issues to a close," Swedish Bank Deputy CEO Thomas Hedberg said in a statement. It is reported that the investigation was launched in 2019 and involves past information disclosures by Swedish banks. The statement also pointed out that investigations into the bank by the U.S. Department of Justice and the New York State Department of Financial Services are still ongoing. The statement mentioned that Swedish banks are currently unable to assess the possible financial impact of these continuing investigations or determine when the investigation will end.
