According to online reports, US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said in a speech at the Bitcoin 2025 conference,"I think Meme coins are more like collectibles. Knowing that Meme coins are not protected by securities laws, I think we will provide more guidance in this regard. I think a Meme coin regulatory committee can be established, and regulatory gaps must always be filled."
