Trump may use presidential power to deliver weapons to Ukraine
Internet reported that two sources said on Thursday that U.S. President Trump will use his presidential power to deliver weapons to Kiev for the first time since taking office, a move that shows his new interest in defending Ukraine. Sources said Trump's team will select weapons from U.S. stocks and ship them to Ukraine under the president's authorization. These weapons may be worth about US$300 million. Sources said the aid package may include defensive Patriot missiles and offensive intermediate-range rockets, but no decision has been made on specific equipment. One of the people familiar with the matter said it would be announced at a meeting on Thursday. So far, the Trump administration has only provided Ukraine with weapons authorized by former President Biden.
