Internet reports that Trump threatened to impose major tariffs on countries that impose digital taxes. Just a few days ago, Meta Platforms(META.O) CEO Zuckerberg expressed concerns about the tax during a White House meeting. According to people familiar with the matter, Zuckerberg met privately with Trump late last week to discuss the issue of digital services tax. Meta confirmed the meeting in a statement: "Mark Zuckerberg visited the White House last week to discuss Meta's infrastructure investments in the United States and promoting U.S. technology leadership overseas." A White House spokesman did not respond.
