Cryptocurrency custodian BitGo obtains MiCA license in Germany
Internet reports that BitGo, a cryptocurrency custodian backed by Goldman Sachs, has become the latest cryptocurrency company to receive regulatory approval to operate in the European Union. The company announced on May 12 that the German financial regulator, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), granted BitGo Europe a license to provide digital asset services in the EU. The new license allows BitGo to provide services to crypto-native companies and traditional financial institutions, including banks and asset management companies within the European Union.
