Adam Back commented on Bitcoin Core V30: Bitcoin is not designed for spam
The Internet reported that the Final version of Bitcoin Core V30 has been released on Github today. One of the major upgrades to Bitcoin Core V30 is to remove the 80-byte limit of OP_RETURN data and increase it to 100,000. Adam Back, a cryptopunk pioneer and founder of Bloackstream, commented that those who falsely claim that Bitcoin opcodes and parameters are "designed" or "used" for spam are actually attacking Bitcoin at artificial legal risk. Bitcoin is not designed for spam, it is all designed for financial transactions, smart contracts and anchors, hashes, promises and compact proofs of two layers like the Lightning Network.
