Cardano founder reveals details of Midnight's "Glacier Drop" airdrop plan

Internet reports that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced the details of Midnight's "Glacier Drop" airdrop plan, privacy sidechailer, at the Consensus 2025 conference. The plan will distribute the governance token NIGHT and the privacy token DUST to 37 million users in eight mainstream public chains, explicitly excluding venture capital institution shares, and all tokens are directly available to ordinary users. Hoskinson also proposed a "collaborative economics" model, which allows developers to use native tokens such as ETH and SOL to pay for cross-chain application fees, and verifiers can also obtain benefits from cross-chain collaboration. The Midnight test network has been launched and the main network is expected to be launched by the end of 2025. The airdrop is seen as a strategic move to ease industry divisions and deal with the entry of technology giants.
