Dongfeng Motor's new energy vehicle (NEV) brand Voyah officially launched its updated Zhiyin SUV (sport utility vehicle), equipped with Huawei's driver assistance and cockpit systems.

Voyah rolled out the all-electric model at an event yesterday, known overseas as the Courage. It starts at RMB 202,900 ($28,450), lower than the RMB 220,000 pre-sales price announced earlier this month.

Voyah offers three variants of the updated Zhiyin: two rear-wheel-drive versions and one all-wheel-drive version, priced at RMB 202,900, RMB 222,900, and RMB 242,900 respectively.

The updated Zhiyin features larger dimensions: 4,810 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,636 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm.

Its predecessor measured 4,725 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,636/1,653 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.

Key selling points of the updated Voyah Zhiyin are its integration of Huawei's Qiankun ADS 4 smart driving system and HarmonySpace 5 cockpit system.

Its smart driving sensors include a roof-mounted 192-channel LiDAR. The model offers capabilities such as city pilot assist and parking assist.

The updated Zhiyin uses power batteries supplied by CATL (SHE: 300750). The single-motor variant offers battery capacities of 81 kWh and 112 kWh, delivering CLTC ranges of 650 km and 901 km respectively.

The all-wheel-drive variant utilizes an 81-kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC range of 600 kilometers.

The single-motor version of the updated Voyah Zhiyin features a rear motor with a maximum power output of 230 kW (309 horsepower) and peak torque of 395 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

The all-wheel-drive variant adds a front motor with 175 kW maximum power, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

The model supports 5C fast charging with a peak charging power of 440 kW, enabling a 100-km range recharge in just 3 minutes.

Shortly after launch, Voyah announced that the updated Zhiyin secured over 3,000 firm orders within the first 12 minutes.

Voyah is a brand launched by Dongfeng in late 2020, with its first model, the Voyah Free, officially released in China in June 2021.

On October 13, 2024, Voyah launched the Zhiyin in China as its fourth model and the first vehicle built on the brand's new-generation pure-electric platform.

Earlier this month, Dongfeng announced plans to privatize and delist from the Hong Kong stock exchange, while Voyah will list on the Hong Kong market via an introductory listing.
