EU suspends investigation into Platform X amid US-EU trade talks

Internet reports that the European Commission has suspended its investigation into Musk's X platform violating the EU's Digital Services Law, and the EU is currently working to complete trade negotiations with the United States. According to three officials, the EU originally planned to complete the investigation before the summer recess, but now it will not be able to complete it before that deadline. They pointed out that relevant decisions may follow after the results of trade negotiations between the EU and the United States are clear. The European Union has launched multiple investigations into X under the Digital Services Act, and the rules have become a focus of controversy between the EU and large U.S. technology companies backed by the Trump administration, who say the EU is unfairly targeting U.S. companies. EU officials said trade talks have made all U.S. -related decisions particularly sensitive because no one wants to offend Trump and exacerbate the transatlantic trade conflict. (Jin Shi)
