British Prime Minister Stammer has asked his cabinet to be vigilant against possible US attacks on Iran
Online reports, according to the Financial Times, British Prime Minister Stammer reminded the cabinet to be wary of a possible US attack on Iran, and just 24 hours ago, he insisted that Trump had not said he would "get involved in this conflict." British officials said the situation was "serious and turbulent" and the prime minister's team discussed whether Trump might seek to strike Iran's nuclear facilities from the joint U.S. -British air force base in Diego Garcia. So far, Britain has stayed out of the Israeli-Iraq war and is determined not to do anything that might lead to the closure of its embassy in Tehran, a key Western diplomatic stronghold in the Middle East. According to officials familiar with the talks, Stammer discussed the possibility of a U.S. attack on Iran at a Whitehall Emergency Committee meeting on Wednesday local time. Participants included senior cabinet ministers, military chiefs, intelligence chiefs and U.S. Ambassador Peter Mandelson.
