Crypto company Zama raises $57 million in Series B financing

According to online reports, Zama, the first crypto company to provide fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) for blockchain, said it raised US$57 million in a Series B financing co-led by Blockchange Ventures and Pantera Capital. The team said the financing will bring Zama's total capital raised to more than $150 million and a valuation of more than $1 billion, making the company the first unicorn company to participate in FHE. Fully homomorphic encryption is a method to maintain data privacy even when it is used, which is particularly valuable for sensitive applications such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. The funds come at a time when the Zama Public Test Network is open and will be used for the launch of the main network, ecosystem promotion and research work.
