Trump administration promotes mass layoffs at the U.S. Department of Education
Online reports, according to CCTV News, after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on the 14th, the U.S. Department of Education began sending updated dismissal notices to hundreds of employees. The notice informed employees of the Ministry of Education that they would officially resign on August 1. The notice said the Ministry of Education thanked them for their services and "understood the current difficulties." Earlier, U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in March that she would lay off about 1400 people as part of Trump's plan to phase out the Department of Education. A lower court suspended the layoffs, but the Supreme Court ultimately ruled that the order was invalid.
