Internet reports that Russian lawmakers have voted to pass a digital ruble bill that sets a timetable for the launch of the Central Bank's digital currency (CBDC). According to Russian state news agency TASS, the Duma has passed a law on the "gradual introduction" of digital rubles, which is scheduled to be implemented on September 1, 2026.
