Cryptocurrency executives step up security after a series of kidnappings
Online reports, according to Bloomberg, Infinite Risks International, a private security company headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has received more and more inquiries about bodyguard services, and more and more long-term customers have signed up for private security services. In addition, at least three kidnappings have occurred so far in 2025, and French law enforcement officials recently announced enhanced security measures against cryptocurrency entrepreneurs and investors. These measures include providing safety briefings to entrepreneurs and their families and accelerating their contact with police in emergencies. French law enforcement agencies also advise cryptocurrency investors not to show off their wealth or wear clothing with cryptocurrency brands to reduce the risk of them becoming targets. This troubling series of incidents highlights the need for cryptocurrency investors and industry professionals to take proactive security measures and remain vigilant.
