Kaspersky discovers a new virus, SparkKitty, steals mnemonic screenshots and attacks encrypted users

According to online reports, according to Cointelegraph, Kaspersky discovered a new virus called SparkKitty, which specifically infects iOS and Android encryption applications and steals screenshots of mnemonic words in user photo albums. Affected apps include "coin" on the AppStore and SOEX communication app downloaded more than 10,000 times on GooglePlay. The virus belongs to the same source as the previously discovered Spark Cat. Its active time dates back to early 2024 and mainly attacks users in Southeast Asia and China.
