Stripe's encryption business leader leaves to join Polygon Labs as chief product officer
On September 15, John Egan, head of Stripe's encryption business, announced his resignation and would join Polygon Labs as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Egan has led a number of Stripe's major crypto mergers and acquisitions and businesses, including: the US$1.1 billion acquisition of stablecoin startup Bridge (completed in February this year), and the acquisition of crypto wallet company Privy and Paradigm to develop its own blockchain Tempo.
