Bitfinex and Tether shareholder Christopher Harborne have become the largest donor to British Reform Party leader Nigel Farage.

Internet reports that Christopher Harborne, known as Chakrit Sakunkrit in Thailand, is a shareholder of Bitfinex and Tether and has now become the largest donor to Nigel Farage, leader of the British Reform Party and MP for Clarkton. Harborne also runs the aviation fuel business and was once exposed to be the largest donor of the Brexit Party and donated £ 1.5 million to the Conservative Party in 2022. According to the British Election Commission, Harborne's most recent donation to Farage was a trip worth £ 27,616, allowing him to "attend Donald Trump's second inauguration." The gift makes him Farage's No. 1 donor in 2025, with the only one close to that amount being a trip donated by George Cottrell, a convicted criminal. Last year, Harborne also donated £ 32,000 to fund Farage's visit to Trump, who was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania. Over the past year, Harborne's donations to Farage totaled nearly £ 60,000.
