CoreWeave is in talks to acquire Core Scientific
According to the Internet, according to the Wall Street Journal, CoreWeave is in talks to acquire Core Scientific. About a year ago, the artificial intelligence company tried to acquire the digital infrastructure company, but failed. People familiar with the matter said the deal could be finalized in the next few weeks as long as negotiations are not blocked. The exact terms of the negotiations are unclear, but Core Scientific has grown rapidly recently and may receive a considerable premium. CoreWeave provides cloud infrastructure for artificial intelligence capabilities and is a partner with several large technology companies. According to its initial public offering filing, Microsoft is its largest customer, accounting for 62% of CoreWeave's revenue in 2024. CoreWeave serves as a liaison party, leasing rights to Nvidia graphics processing units for companies such as Meta and IBM.
